Escargots de Bourgogne

Our snails come from Slow Escargots. The supplier is known for its organic and nature-based approach. For instance, the winter hibernation period of the snails is observed and they lay their eggs in the open ground. Additionally, no artificial lighting or heating is used.

Breeder Ter Hall is convinced: happy snails are more delicious. So he gives his snails all the room and he feeds them fresh leafy vegetables and herbs such as thyme and basil. The ‘Escargots de Bourgogne’ or ‘Vineyard snail’ is known as the most culinary interesting type of edible snails.
